Local Bus Operating Assistance (LBO)
Local Bus Operating Assistance (LBO), also referred to throughout the blog as Local Bus Operations, is the state budget line-item which supports the day-to-day functions of transit providers across Michigan. This includes worker wages, vehicle maintenance, and overall system management and administration. LBO comprises the majority of rural providers' annual budgets and a significant portion of urban providers' budgets.
