Description
Various advocacy organizations and stakeholders across Michigan will be meeting in Lansing in a joint effort to speak with legislators on public transit priorities for 2026.
Accessibility
Transportation from Metro Detroit will be coordinated in advance of this event for attendees. All Capitol complex buildings are wheelchair accessible. Attendees will be screened through Evolv scanners monitored by Michigan State Police when entering each building. Travel is also available via early-morning departures of D2A2 and the Michigan Flyer. The earliest possible arrival in Lansing from Detroit is 9:15am via the 5:45a-6:45a WB D2A2 from Grand Circus, the 7:10a-8:40a westbound Flyer from the Blake Transit Center in Ann Arbor, and the 8:50a-9:15a CATA #1 from East Lansing Marriott (Grand River / MAC).

Description
The first-ever spur of the South Shore Line interurban will open between Hammond Gateway and Munster-Dyer, IN on St. Patrick's Day. Transit agency staff and advocates from the Midwest region at large plan to attend.
Accessibility
Nearly all South Shore Line stations are fully ADA accessible with the exception of Hudson Lake, Gary/Chicago Airport, and 63rd Street. Connections from Amtrak have limited accessibility; traveling to Union Station and boarding the South Shore Line from Millennium Station is the option with the fewest barriers, with several CTA bus and train options available as well as access via the Chicago Pedway. Elevator access varies; check the South Shore Line's website for the latest alerts.

Description
The Michigan Association of Railroad Passengers (MARP) will host a tour of the newly renovated station.
Accessibility
The Station at Michigan Central is fully accessible post-renovation. Note that security screening procedures may be in place upon entry. FAST Michigan (SMART Route 261) and DDOT Route 2 stop at Michigan and 14th, a short walk from the entrance. Both bus stops are ADA accessible. Guests enter from the east side of the building near the bridge to the Southwest Greenway. Amtrak travelers should travel to either the Dearborn Transit Center or New Center Station. From Dearborn, board eastbound FAST Michigan buses to reach the event. From New Center, take the QLINE or DDOT #4 from Amsterdam Street to Grand Circus and transfer to westbound FAST Michigan buses at Woodward / Clifford SB. All transfers are ADA accessible.
