We're back on BATA... this time with two wheels!

Two years ago, I went on my longest intercity bus journey in Michigan to date: Indian Trails from Flint to Traverse City . This summer I returned to the Cherry Capital to hear an update on the North-South Passenger Rail Project .

I'd been itching to explore more of the region, so I booked another two-night stay with my new bike in tow. But this time I didn't stick to the bay – I wanted to go farther.

Just how much farther? Come along and find out!

Find the latest information on the Bayline, the Village Loops (including Routes 12 and 10), and Link service on BATA's website .

Special shout-out to Jeff, my operator on Route 10, for being super friendly and sharing some additional insight into BATA's system design. Credit for this article's cover photo goes to him – thank you!
